Committed months in advance to provide summer childcare, then quit after one day via late-night call. We confirmed with her three times before the start date, and she assured us each time she was on board. Her sudden exit left us scrambling with no backup, lost wages, and enormous stress. This was not a small inconvenience—it was a total failure to honor her word. At the very least finishing out the week would have been more appropriate. Deeply unprofessional and incredibly disruptive to our family. Would never recommend.
