About Nicole

Nicole was truly a real-life Mary Poppins for our family. From the very beginning, she was calm, collected, warm, and caring, while also being appropriately firm and consistent with our kids. We always felt that they were safe, happy, and genuinely well cared for when they were with her. She went above and beyond to make their days fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. She planned crafts and activities, took them on outings, made sure they spent plenty of time outside, and provided nutritious snacks. We also really appreciated her no-screen-time approach. Instead, she kept the kids engaged with play, reading, crafts, outdoor adventures, and activities that were appropriate for their ages. She also kept us connected to their days with a detailed daily update and photos. While we were at work, it made us feel like we were not completely missing out and gave us a great sense of what the kids had been up to. Nicole was incredibly flexible with our somewhat wacky firefighter family schedule, which was a huge asset for us. Our hours were long, but they rotated to mirror my spouses firefighter schedule, and Nicole worked with us to make that arrangement possible. Her flexibility and dependability made a huge difference in our day-to-day lives. She was also incredibly helpful around the house. She kept the kids areas tidy, helped with dishes and laundry, and often left the house in better shape than she found it. Coming home after a full day of work without feeling like there was another mountain of housework waiting for us was such a gift. She even offered to help with dinner when needed. Most importantly, our kids absolutely loved her. They were always happy to see Nicole and came home happy, well cared for, and fulfilled from their day. The only reason Nicole is not still with our family is that we moved just far enough away that her commute was no longer reasonable. We were genuinely sad to have to make that change. Finding someone who is wonderful with your children, flexible with your schedule, and genuinely helpful to your entire family is incredibly special. We feel very lucky to have had Nicole as our nanny and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any family looking for someone trustworthy, nurturing, dependable, engaging, and truly invested in their childrens well-being.
