Although my degree is in Early Childhood Education, my year of student teaching gave me many opportunities to work with children who have special needs. I found that I often bonded the most with the children who had special needs. I loved working with them and sharing in their joy at what they were able to accomplish. Some of my classes at SCSU were focused on special education. I've also been fortunate enough to get to know coworkers with special needs, and interact and accommodate guests of all ages with special needs throughout my years of serving experience.
