I've been working with individuals with special needs for 10 years. I have worked in group homes and day programs for adults with various cognitive disabilities. I most recently worked in a school for communication and intellectual disabilities, where I taught children of various ages with various diagnoses, such as hearing impairments, autism, communication disorders, and Down's syndrome. I have my masters degree in severe special education and my teaching license in the state of MA, where I previously lived until my recent move to NJ. I currently work in a public school as a paraprofessional for a special needs kindergarten class until I can acquire my teaching license in the state of NJ. I have experience with various teaching strategies, including but not limited to applied behavior analysis (ABA).
