I began my special needs career working with adults with developmental disabilities while going to graduate school. My first teaching job was in a middle school in which I was an inclusion teacher for all academic subjects for two years, a self-contained Special Education teacher for a year, and a regular education Langauge Arts teacher for two years. After a maternity leave, I changed districts and worked two years as an inclusion teacher for all academic subjects in a middle school. My final position was in another middle school which lasted for more 10 years. During these years, I taught inclusion in all subject areas, was a resource room teacher for both Math and Science, and was a regular education Science teacher.
