About Nicole

Bilingual (French-English) former pre-school classroom teacher with significant experience teaching and tutoring grades K-8 in French immersion and American schools. Student taught at the high school level. I am currently a private home tutor for a preschooler and have additional availability this summer as the family travels. With over 10 years of babysitting experience from infants through middle school I understand the importance of boundaries to create a safe, secure and caring environment where children feel comfortable exploring, learning and playing. I am an actor and writer so I infuse imaginative and creative play when taking care of children: scavenger hunts, acting out stories, card games and art projects. With newborns and babies I help to follow schedules and routines, while singing lots of songs, taking vocabulary-filled walks and finding classes and activities that are appropriate for social, emotional and physical development.
