About Nicki

Dear Melinda, I well understand the importance of attending to your mom's needs with care, grace, patience, and understanding. I have a BA in Psychology. Many years later, I attended Boston College for a Masters in Social Work. My focus was in Old and Older Adults. I did learn how to guide my mother through the uneven road of Alzheimer's, and the predicament of increasing dementia. My mother had recently passed away from Alzheimer's and complications from COPD. I was her caregiver when she was unable to make decisions that ensured her safety. I would look forward to going to museums if she is up to it. They usually have wheel chairs. I know to watch for tiredness, to reduce frustration, and to give her sustenance and kindness. I would love to help. I am a good and healthy cook. It would be a pleasure to care for your mom. Nicki S.
