About Nicki

My specialty is helping students make the leap to algebra. When the numbers in math class suddenly turn into letters, it can feel like the proverbial rug has been pulled out from under you. I get it! I have been tutoring algebra since I was in middle school and this happened to many of my friends. When I was able to explain the concept and see the lightbulb turn on for them, I was hooked. I am looking forward to seeing that same light of comprehension on your child's face. Let me help them turn those tears of frustration into a belief that they can do algebra too. I'd describe my personality as patient, kind and enthusiastic. My skills include breaking complex topics down into easy to grasp steps, believing in my student's potential and celebrating small wins as a way to build confidence.
