I love working with and entertaining kids! I know that finding a babysitter can be challenging for parents who have a child with medical issues. Although I do not have official experience with or training for children with medical issues, I am 100% ready to learn anything you need me to know about caring for your child. I also know that being different can be hard for kids. As a future elementary teacher, one of my main goals is to make sure that everybody has a place and nobody feels left out. I am ready to be creative in making appropriate accommodations while maintaining an inclusive and supportive environment. I do already know a fair amount about type one diabetes (how to test, what certain numbers generally mean, giving injections, operating pumps, etc.). I know that managing T1D can be tedious, especially in children. Obviously every case is slightly different, so adjusting my knowledge to your child's specific needs is expected.
