I have a lot of experience with kids with down syndrome and autism. I was a communications aid for my now, dear friend. He was mainstreamed in a private school but because of puberty, diet, medications, and "melt downs" he was re-directed to find another solution, and that was being home schooled. I was with him for years and was along side him through the good and not so easy times, but he's taught me more about life than I could've asked for.
