About Niabi

I was a stay at home mom for 25 years, during which I held a volunteer position as swim meet director for 7 years. I also implemented a reading comprehension program for students not meeting necessary academic targets in elementary school. Those years taught me the skills I now apply to senior caregiving: patience, compassion, kindness, curiosity, attentiveness, organization, and how to navigate what needs doing while appreciating every human being's desire for autonomy and free choice.. I am an immensely empathetic person with a heart for helping and a penchant for leading with kindness and integrity. I find great joy in simply being of service to fellow humans beings. I am particularly passionate about helping seniors as I feel honored to be able to provide relief and companionship as they navigate the changes in their life. In my spare time I like cuddling my dogs, jigsaw puzzles, reading, walking at Kukutali, sitting at Rosario Beach, Bananagrams, and detective shows.

Our situation at home became more difficult because of Parkinson’s and having Niabi here has helped immensely. She started with one half day and is now with us three days 6 hours a day. She helps with so many things it’s hard to list them. And I find we are tailoring our needs to include her more and more. We will miss her help and companionship more than we can say when we move away.
