About Nelsy

I grew up watching my family care for seniors, treating every patient as if they were their own family. At the time, I didn't realize how deeply that experience would shape me until I began working myself. At 17 I started working in an assisted living where I gained hands-on experience in home care and developed strong interpersonal skills essential to geriatric care. I also worked closely with memory-care patients across various stages of Alzheimer's and dementia. I later moved to hospitals in transitional and surgical units, becoming comfortable working with mobility-restricted patients. My priority is always to create a safe environment while promoting quality of life and preserving patient dignity. I've also cared for private patients, which allowed for deeper connections and more personalized care. Geriatric care holds a special place in my heart, and I strive to reflect the compassion and respect my family showed by caring for each patient as if they were my own parent.
