About Nellie

I'm a rising junior at Stanford University studying Data Science and Math, with experience tutoring math, statistics, computer science, English, and test prep. I recently completed a Data Science internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY and worked with Stanford's CRAFT initiative to design AI literacy lessons for psychology curricula. For three years, I was a STEM education research assistant at WPI, applying learning science and psychology to create lessons that build robust mental models by connecting ideas within a subject. I also serve as co-president and basketball director of an organization providing social, physical, and educational programming to over 100 families of individuals with special needs each week. Coming from a family of History and English educators, I share a deep love of learning and, over the past year, have worked as a contract tutor across ages, breaking down concepts, using real-world analogies, and interleaving practice to build curiosity + confidence.
