About Natalie

My name is Natalie, I have an Associates of Art in English from Macomb Community College & I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education-English & Language Arts at a state University. I've worked as a paraprofessional, a building substitute, a long-term Art substitute, and a long-term Special Education substitute. My specialties are in early literacy, Language Arts & English. I am more than open to tutoring students with Special needs/learning disabilities. I have a lot of experience working on IEP goals. For early literacy: phonological awareness, rhyming, uppercase/ lowercase, writing names, sight words, CVC words 1st/2nd: Mastering phonics, improving reading comprehension, expanding vocabulary, punctuation, key elements of a story. 3rd-5th: Analyzing, summarizing, compare/contrasting, figurative language, grammar, spelling, citing evidence. 6-8th: critical thinking, precise vocabulary, logical writing, research projects, essays, speeches, poetry.
