About Natalie

I am a recent graduate from ASU! I graduated with honors as a medical studies major, with the hopes of going to medical school. In my junior and senior year of college, I worked as an assistant teacher in a preschool as well as in the aftercare program with kids ages 4-12 years old. I helped with homework, reading, and overall engagement. As a student myself, people's responses to me and my grades are always: "wow you're so smart!" And while I appreciate that, I can promise that things did not click for me in school. I struggled very hard in understanding topics and subjects, and often felt ashamed to get help. What I hear from many kids now when they're frustrated is "my teacher says I have to do it THIS way" and my response to that is "we are going to teach it to you in whatever way you can understand it. Then we'll worry about doing it that way." It just takes time and patience, and I understand that!
