About Natalie

Natalie worked with our family for about six months. She was warm with our kids, enjoyed doing art and imaginative play, and has a background in child development. However, there were issues with dependability and professionalism. We guaranteed her 24 hours/week—including through the summer, when we didn’t need as much care—because we hoped to retain her for the school year, and she understood this was our priority. We paid for one week of her vacation, two weeks of our own, and additional sick and personal days (which were frequent). We were consistently flexible with her schedule and family obligations. In return, we expected reliability. Unfortunately, she quit via text at 2:15 PM—just 45 minutes before a scheduled camp pickup and full evening shift—during the final week of summer, leaving us scrambling. This came immediately after we had paid her for a full week of our vacation, with school starting the following week. She gave no prior indication of dissatisfaction and refused to finish even the day, citing personal reasons. The suddenness and timing felt deeply unprofessional and inconsiderate. We’ve employed multiple long-term caregivers over the years and have never encountered a situation like this. While Natalie may be a good fit for occasional babysitting, we would not recommend her for families seeking long-term reliability or commitment.
