I have always had animals in my life, dogs and cats. I have spent much time caring for animals, officially and unofficially. I am a stay at home mom seeking part time employment or odd jobs, so my schedule is very flexible. My only pet is a sweet (but in need of constant training and much patience) red-bone hound who was adopted. His name is Ruby. Before Ruby, I had a wonderful 75 lb. boxer/ridge-back mix named Kubi, who was also adopted. We had 8 great years together before he succumbed to cancer. I have two children, ages 4 and 1, who love dogs. I believe that raising dogs and babies require similar facets of character: patience, kindness, humor and consistency. If you have a dog (or other animal) that loves children, mine are an added perk if employing me! (If not, my children can stay home with family when I am needed.) I would be happy to provide references upon request.
