I've cared for children since middle school because I love helping them grow. As a regular caregiver, I have and do - support infants' development, engage them, diaper them, and help them fall asleep, - ensure toddlers interact with their peers and build their routines, - encourage preschoolers' independence, and - tutor elementary and middle schoolers and discuss solutions for not repeating inappropriate actions. - I also mediate conflicts and spend time with children individually and in a group. Examples of my doing so include being a sitter for many sets of siblings, teacher aide in a daycare for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, volunteer caregiver for around 10 children between the ages of 1 and 6 years, supervisor for a before and after elementary school program, and counselor for resident campers between the ages of 6 and 17 years.
