I am a nanny/mom who has been doing childcare in the Bay Area for over 15 years. Presently, I am caring for a wonderful 11-month-old girl on MWF's. However, as she will be starting daycare at the end of November I am looking for a new family to work with on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. (I can potentially begin a new position sooner if that would be helpful.)
In the past, I worked for a childcare agency based out of Marin. I worked with hundreds of families caring for children of all ages, from infants to young teens. 
I am loving, kind and fun but am also very concerned with issues of safety. I am trust-line and CPR certified. I have my own car and a clean driving record. 
I am well educated with a master's degree . I do childcare because I love children and because it gives me great flexibility as a mom.

Naomi handles after school pick-up and activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays for our two kids (ages 6 and 9). She also supports our household by doing things like running errands and keeping the common areas tidy, which is a HUGE help.

We have been working with Naomi for the past two and a half years and have nothing but good things to say about her. Our child is starting preschool soon, otherwise we would have loved to keep working with her. I cannot speak highly enough of Naomi. She cared for our 7 month old for a few months this past summer. Naomi was prompt, reliable, communicative, and kind. She is very skilled with young babies. She learned our child's patterns very quickly - putting him down for naps when appropriate, helping him learn to drink from a bottle (which we had struggled with for months), and helping to introduce him to solid food. Our baby was always happy to see Naomi when she arrived in the morning. And when she left each afternoon, he was well-fed and well-rested. Unfortunately, our time with Naomi ended because we moved out of state and she had another long-term job set up already. If the opportunity to work with Naomi comes up again in the future, we will take it without a doubt!

Naomi has been with our son M since he was 9 months old. We'd love to keep working with her but sadly, we are moving out of the Bay. Naomi was one of the only caretakers we talked to that offered part time care which is hard to come by. She is a dependable, kind, and loving caretaker. M lights up when he sees her and with her years of experience, we trust her completely watching over him.

Naomi has cared part-time for our now 3 year old son since he was 7 months old.  Our son has grown close to her and is happier and more comfortable with "his Omi" than anyone other than us.  ("Do other kids have Omis?" he asked me the other day.)  Naomi is quite dependable.  Over the years she has canceled only a few times, always with notice and for very good reasons.  We especially appreciated that she is extremely safety conscious, so despite being worried first-time parents, we always felt confident that K. was safe with her. I called it "Naomi magic" when my son would inevitably mellow out in her arms. Naomi was great with meals and naps, and she would take him to parks every day. She is also one of the relatively few nannies in east bay who offer part time care, which was a big plus for us! Thank you Naomi!

We found Naomi through a Berkeley family whom she worked for for two years, and hired her as fast as I could. She cared for my son beginning at 4 months old, and he was happy to see her every time she came over. She also picked up my 3 year old from preschool, and I trusted her completely to keep my kids safe and happy. She loves to get down on the floor and play with the kids, take them out in our yard or on walks, and was able to keep a baby and a preschooler engaged. She even somehow got my 3 year old to #2 on the potty, which I'd completely given up on. She's the premium nanny with 15 years of experience, an interest in long and loving relationships with your kids, and always lets me know what's going on. Our communication was very open, and the one time I asked her to do something differently, it was not an issue between us at all. She has seen me at my most vulnerable as a mom, too, and I appreciated her support as well as advice when I asked for it. Don't miss out on her!

I found Naomi after an exhaustive month-long search and multiple in-person interviews. We chose Naomi for her decades of experience and her open and intelligent communication-style. When she is with our son, she is completely engaged. Unlike many nannies, Naomi is not glued to her phone. In fact, she does not own a smart phone, and I see that as a huge benefit. Naomi--"Omi" as our daughter says--has cared for our daughter 2-3 days per week almost from birth. Our daughter is now 20 months and headed to daycare, and Naomi has been irreplaceable during this time. Naomi is super safety conscious, so I don't worry when I leave. She is also dependable--she has only taken a single sick day during that whole period. She is engaged--she reads books with our daughter, takes her on long walks, and sings songs. Plus our daughter is always well rested and well fed when I get home!

It was hard finding someone professional and reliable who preferred to be part time. She has also done occasional date nights where she cares for our 4 year old also, and she manages two little people like a real pro! She also gives me a good update when I get home, so I always know how the day went (and what to expect for the evening to come!).

Naomi has cared for our daughter since she was three weeks old. She's now 20 months old and thriving under Naomi's care. They read books together, draw, play games, and take long walks. Our daughter is always well rested and well fed, and Naomi is very safety conscious. She also has great communication skills with grown ups--she gives me an update each day, and I have a good sense of how our daughter's needs are evolving. She provides meals for our child in our home, facilitates his morning and afternoon naps, prepares his bottles, reads his favorite books to him, plays the piano and sings with him, introduces him to new books, keeps him clean and safe at all times, demonstrating great caution for his safety and helping us identify additional child proofing measures around the house we hadn't considered.

Our baby, now toddler, has developed beautifully under Naomi's care. We credit many of his good habits and manners to his time with Naomi.  Every day, he is happy to see Naomi when she arrives. Every time we arrive home, he is content in her care. We are sad to be parting ways, and are ending employment of Naomi only because we are moving away from the Bay Area.

You would be lucky to have Naomi as your childcare provider. I can say from experience that she is wonderful with babies and toddlers, and our lives have been richer because of working with Naomi during our child's critical development from infant to toddler these past 10 months.

Naomi is a fantastic babysitter! She watched our two kids from the time my littlest was 3 and my oldest was 6 for five/six years (we only stopped using Naomi because our situation changed). She is truly part of our family. Naomi took the time to know and love both my children for who they are as individuals - she helped us maintain our rules and structure and was such a great communicator about things going on with them (frustrations, victories etc). As the kids grew older and moved from play dates to homework she was so fantastic about talking to them as real people and providing the rules and guidance kids need. We love Naomi and consider ourselves lucky to have had her grow with us!

Naomi has worked for me as a sitter for 13 years, since my first child was 3 months old.  My kids have grown up with her, and really enjoy having her and her daughter come sit for us.  She happily follows any schedule requested (i.e., dinnertime, bedtime, homework) and is patient with the kids.  She has been great with them at all ages.

Naomi is a dynamic, nurturing, and talented childcare provider. When we first hired her, she was our weekend babysitter for our one year-old daughter, Yael.  Over time, she grew very close with Yael and our whole family, including our second daughter, Ayla, who was born a year later. We were so sad to say goodbye to her when we moved back to the east coast a week ago.

I am writing this letter to tell you a little about why our kids love Naomi so much and why we trusted her from the beginning to be with them.  First and foremost, Naomi is affectionate and loving.  She is always calm and patient, trying to understand who our children are and what they need.  She has taken care of children of all ages for over 15 years and so she has a sense of different developmental stages and how children experience them.  As a new mother, she gave me a lot of good advice and wisdom that I desperately needed.

Naomi is very active and hands-on.  She always played with our children outside, created art projects with them, read them stories, and would dive into their imaginary play.  She is a strong communicator, always telling us the details about the activities that day, what went well, and what was challenging.  She worked with us to help create a safe and comforting environment for our children.  We started calling her Aunt Naomi because she did feel like another adult family member.  I remember times when Ayla even cried when I would take her at the end of the day.

Naomi helped prepare meals for the kids, would drive them to the doctor if we had work meetings we couldn't miss, and was always flexible when I asked to switch times or days.  I would always come home to a clean house, toys organized, and dishes done!

Her daughter, Shoshana, also became part of our family, since she accompanies Naomi when Naomi has jobs after school or on the weekends.  Shoshana became like an older sister to my daughters.  She is caring and nurturing with children, just like her mom.   I admire Naomi's commitment to being with her daughter after school and on the weekends.
