About Nancy

I am 68 yrs old, married, and I have two grown sons, one granddaughter, four grown stepchildren, eight step-grandchildren. I enjoy all children - they keep us young! I am a multi-hobbyist, including sewing, amateur photography, sightseeing, and a host of other arts and crafts that I am happy to teach to children. When my children were young, I worked full-time, but I also taught Sunday School and volunteered often at my sons' schools. I've always enjoyed reading to children and encouraging early reading skills and good reading habits, as I am a firm believer that a solid academic foundation and a successful career begin with being a good reader. I am a retired Legal Assistant/Secretary. I most recently worked full-time as a nanny to a 14-mo-old baby girl and before that, to a 7-yr-old little girl, both of whom I consider my own, providing 4-24 hrs of daily care and transportation to and from school and extracurricular activities.
