I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University, concentrating my studies in child development. I have worked with children for over 30 years as a tutor and parent educator, and have run my own business for over 20 of those years. My motto is "Learning is Fun". I believe all children have wonderful potential and can succeed with the right encouragement and understanding. I tutor preschool through 5th grade in the family's own home for their comfort and convenience. I tutor all children, including the gifted, the challenged, and those with special needs, such as dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. For preschoolers, I use creative games and the child's own toys to help that child remember the school. Some families have even called me "Mary Poppins", as I am a fun tutor at all ages, who helps children succeed! I offer references upon request.
