Hello! I am a Master's level teacher whose private school closed in 2020. I was a classroom teacher for grades 4-8. I provide tutoring, homework assistance, and home school support for all ages and subjects. families. Additionally, I have 2 sons on the autism spectrum. Our school district just wanted to put them in Life Skills classes and not focus on academics. I had them placed in inclusive settings, with much resistance form our district who told us that they couldn't learn to read or write. I retaught them everything when they got home from school. I did this through high school, worked as a 1:1 for my younger son through eighth grade with additional tutoring after school, and then home schooled him in high school. Both were able to complete math through Algebra 2 and Geometry and ended up with academic awards. My younger son did not take regents, but my older son got high 80's and low 90's on all but 1 regents.

Nancy is wonderful. She has been working with our (soon to be) 4th and 6th graders over the past year. Even when they’re fussy about going to tutoring, at pickup they’re always inspired and encouraged. They really love Nancy—we do too. She fun, curious, easygoing, and honestly just a joy to be around. The request was to inspire intellectual curiosity in the kids. Nancy does that and more. Their curiosity is there, but also the confidence that they’ve gained in the process is a wonderful bonus.
