Experience: 10 yrs
Recently retired, I am fortunate to be seeking a role out of the workplace where I can feel fulfilled in this rewarding stage of my life and that role is caring for children. In the past, I was the Director of the Cascade Christian Child Care Board for six years. I have been involved with the youth programs and Infant/Toddler Program. I also was a nanny for a Forest Hills family for 15 years. I love art, music, reading, spending time outdoors and being with the 3 loves of my life, my grandchildren, ages 7, 3, and 18 mos. I m seeking a childcare position where I can provide my flexible schedule to a family seeking an active grandma to care for their little ones. I am looking for part time or full time for the right family.
It is with immense gratitude and the warmest of hearts that we write this review for Nan, who has been a beloved part of our family for the past seven years. She joined us when our youngest was just three months old, caring not only for our tiny newborn but also his lively two-and-a-half-year-old sister. From those earliest days of bottles and nap schedules to the busy, curious years of school-age adventures, she has been a constant, loving, and deeply trusted presence in our children’s lives. From the start, Nan cared for our children as though they were her own. She has a natural, gentle way of tuning into a child’s needs—offering comfort, sharing giggles, and guiding them with infinite patience. Every day, they were read to, encouraged to explore, and nurtured in ways that have shaped them into the thoughtful, kind, and curious people they are today. As they grew, Nan filled their days with enriching experiences—playground outings, library visits, and countless adventures that balanced joy with learning. She has an incredible gift for blending play with education, sparking curiosity, and making everyday moments magical. Beyond her professionalism and dedication, what makes Nan truly extraordinary is her genuine love for the children in her care. She became, in every way, part of our family, and our relationship with her has always been warm, trusting, and full of respect. We part ways now only because our children are old enough that they no longer require full-time care. For any family seeking a nanny, especially with young children, we cannot recommend Nan highly enough. She is responsible, reliable, endlessly patient, and deeply nurturing. If you are looking for someone who will love and care for your children as if they were her own, you will be truly fortunate to have Nan in your home.
