About Naima

Hi! My name is Naima, and I've been babysitting since I was 16 years old. I come from a big, loving family-I'm the second of 14 siblings-so caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. I've looked after kids of all ages, from tiny 5-month-old babies to independent teens up to 14 years old. I'm currently a junior at Portland State University majoring in Social Work with a minor in Family Studies. My goal is to use my education and personal experiences to support and advocate for families, especially those navigating challenges like disabilities, trauma, or transitions. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and understood. I'm bilingual in Somali and English, with an understanding of Arabic as well. I bring a calm, nurturing energy to every home and genuinely enjoy creating fun and meaningful connections with the children I care for. I'd love the opportunity to support your family!
