Providing high quality care for elderly clients who are deemed a fall-risk or need 24hr care or just need assistance and seeking companionship. Helping clients tend to their daily affairs and help maintain normalcy in their day-to-day lives. Creating a safe, trusting and healthy environment for clients as well as maintaining their level of comfort and prioritizing their dignity. I'd describe my personality as attentive, compassionate and friendly. I like caring for seniors because of my previous medical background. Most of my experience was in Primary Care and the skills translated well over into geriatric caregiving as I wanted to eventually specialize in geriatric care. Recent events have put an indefinite pause on me pursuing a medical residency so Im hoping to fill in a few hours a day or night shifts while I navigate this new chapter in my life.
