Making a difference in the lives of adults and children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is what drives me. I am a compassionate caregiver with almost 5 years of experience supporting adults and children with IDD. My background includes a college degree, First Aid Training, and time spent as a Direct Service Provider for adults with IDD. I also help direct an after school program for high schoolers with IDD. I am patient, friendly, and adept at creating a comfortable environment for those in my care. I am experienced in adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling confusion with empathy. I provide transportation, run errands, tutor, and help prepare meals while fostering independence for the individual. I keep families informed through verbal updates, regular texts, or phone calls, always respecting their preferred method of communication.
