About Mya

Mya worked for us for 3 weeks and during that time it became clear that she did not know how to care for young children and did not put effort towards trying. In the end she quit because she didn't feel like it was something she was able to do. I cannot recommend Mya as a long-term provider. It's possible she could do simple one off babysitting gigs just fine, but she does not currently have the skills to nanny small children. She was dependable and gave us several days heads up to find someone new. To illustrate what this looked like for us: there was a morning I was gone for 2 hours. When I returned our 2 yr old was running around the backyard unclothed without sunscreen, our 4 yr old was still wearing his soggy overnight diaper and they had moved heavy rocks all over the yard. When I asked them later where Mya was they told me she was in the house while they made the mess. By the time she left us our son was asking for a diaper (had been completely potty trained for over a year).
