About Mya

Hello! My name is Mia, and I am a passionate early childhood education professional with over six years of experience in childcare and education. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mississippi Valley State University and plan to further my education by pursuing a master's degree. My professional background includes serving as a Lead Teacher and Education Coach in Head Start and childcare programs. I hold an Illinois ECE Level 5 Credential, along with Paraprofessional and Substitute Teaching Licenses. I specialize in creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments that encourage learning, independence, and social-emotional development. As both an educator and a mother, I understand the importance of patience, communication, and dependable care. My goal is to provide every child with individualized attention while giving parents peace of mind knowing their little ones are in capable, caring hands!
