About Myaisha

I cared for my grandmother who had Alzheimer's. I bathed, dressed, and cooked , cleaned for her everyday. Gave her medication every morning and night. Made sure she was comfortable in bed with her favorite tv shows on. Took her on walks to the park. Played boardgames, we would paint on canvas. Did puzzles together to anything to keep her entertained. Some days were not easy but I helped her through them. I know it sounds like something you would tell your toddler but it really helped her. I would take her to her room and put her feet up and bring her in some snacks. turn on sports that was something that helped her calm down on her bad days. She would be so relaxed and would come out when she was ready to be social again. My moments taking care of my grandma was special and rewarding for me. She didn't like being with anyone else but me made me feel bad for others but also made me feel really good. I love and miss her so much.
