About Mya

Hi, my name is Mya. I love helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. I create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment where children are able to feel safe and heard. I empower students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills for long-term success. With one year of tutoring experience and some college, I actively listen to students and observe their initial interactions with new material. I vary my teaching strategies and encourage open communication about what methods work best for them. I celebrate small successes and break down complex problems into manageable steps to build momentum. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and setting clear expectations. I find it rewarding to see a student's confidence grow as they master new skills. I have a car and am CPR and First Aid trained. I would love to help you achieve your academic goals!
