About Mya

Hi! My name is Mya, and I am a Cognitive Neuroscience PhD student at Colorado State University, where I research how nature supports cognition and emotional regulation. I have loved nannying for 4 wonderful families over the past year and a half, and am looking to connect with Longmont-area families for occasional, scheduled-in-advance childcare. My experience includes caring for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary ages over the past 7 yrs. I enjoy nature-based play and outdoor exploration, helping children learn through walks, parks, and creative activities. I hold an M. S. in Landscape Systems & Design, and a B. S. in Brain & Behavioral Sciences from Purdue University, giving me a unique perspective on how environments influence children's development. I am dependable, attentive, and enthusiastic about creating a safe environment where children can explore, learn, and feel supported. Please reach out if I sound like a good fit!
