About Mya

Hi there! I'm Mya, a cheerful and energetic nursing student who absolutely loves working with children! I have over two years of professional experience as a Lead Teacher, working with infants, toddlers, 2-year-olds, and after-school kids. I've taught in both traditional and Montessori-style classrooms, where I focused on emotional development, hands-on learning, nature, and creating a calm, joyful environment (we did morning yoga, classical music, and lots of outdoor play!). I'm BLS, CPR, and Pediatric First Aid certified, and I currently work as a Nurse Extern at HCA Healthcare, so I'm very comfortable with safety, first aid, and caring for kids when they're sick or hurt. Families tell me I'm patient, playful, and great at building real connections with children. I'm looking for a part-time or flexible nanny position this summer and beyond.
