I've always had a passion for working with special needs children. I have assisted with camps and moved into running them when I was 13. I have worked with Autism Spectrum Disorder (high and low functioning), Sensory Integrative Disorders, ADHD/ADD, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Down Syndrome, Behavioral Problems, and multiple physical disabilities. I love working with these children and teens because so many people don't take the time to get to know them as the amazing people that they are, they only see the DIS in disable. I have a talent for working with the "problem" children having been one myself, I know so of how they may be thinking and feeling and they just don't know how to express it, I also possess an almost unlimited amount of patience with these children. I hope to start my own camp one day for everyone to learn how to interact with all types of differently abled people.
