My passion for caregiving began at age 13 while helping care for my grandmother who lived with Alzheimer's disease. Witnessing her journey inspired my commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and led me to pursue a path in healthcare. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I have supported geriatric patients in diverse settings. In Washington, DC, I worked closely with clients living with various forms of dementia, assisting with daily activities while promoting safety, dignity, and emotional support. I also gained valuable experience abroad working in hospice and long-term care facilities, where I cared for elderly patients with chronic illnesses and those receiving end-of-life care. Additionally, I served as an HIV and AIDS counselor for geriatric patients who experienced trauma, providing education, guidance, and compassionate support while advocating for their overall well-being.
