Hello! My name is Morgan, and I'm a newly certified CNA from GTCC. Caregiving has always been a part of my life, as I grew up helping care for my older brother with special needs, which sparked my passion for supporting others. With my clinical experience, having been in a senior living facility, I can say that I have been trained mainly to work with elders however, I can work with people of all ages. I bring both personal and professional experience to my work, with a focus on compassion, reliability, and trust. Currently, I'm pursuing a degree in Biology at UNC Greensboro, with the long-term goal of continuing my journey in nursing! When going through my CNA program, I discovered a love for caring for senior citizens. In the skilled living facility where we trained, a lot of the residents were 90+ and could not do many things on their own. Doing skills like bathing, feeding, and grooming for them gave me such a warm feeling inside. Because they deserve to look and feel good.
Morgan was an exceptional caregiver who helped provided 24/7 care for our mother, who was living with advanced-stage ALS. Morgan came to us shortly after completing her CNA training. From the start she was eager to learn, asked insightful questions, and absorbed information quickly. Our mother's care was highly regimented and complex, involving feeding tube management, cough assist, suction, BiPap, Hoyer lift transfers, medication assistance, wound management and detailed personal care. Morgan excelled in all areas-she was dependable, a clear communicator, compassionate, and attentive to both the patient's physical and emotional needs. Morgan took the time to truly get to know our mother as a person, not just a patient. Her empathy and calm presence made an enormous difference in the quality of care and comfort our mother received. If you have the opportunity to employ Morgan, I encourage you to do so without hesitation. Do not let her youth distract you, she is an old soul, with common sense and an exceptional work ethic. Caregivers like Morgan are exceptionally rare, and anyone fortunate enough to work with her will quickly see why.
