About Morgan

Morgan was our family’s nanny from 2019 until 2022. During that time she became part of our family and will forever be part of our children’s lives because she made such a lasting impression on all of us. Morgan started out caring for our oldest daughter (who was 4 at the time) by picking her up after school and keeping her until we got home from work. When the pandemic hit, she was able to pivot quickly and effectively from part-time after school to full-time nanny for the girls. Her schedule went from ~20 hours a week to ~50 hours per week overnight and from caring for one 4 year old to also caring for our 1 year old. Morgan was able to make this pivot with ease and asked if there were any other things she could help with around the house as well. With our children, Morgan was patient, kind, understanding, fun, and just an all around amazing influence on them. These kids had their schedules rocked by the pandemic and Morgan gave them a safe place to express their feelings and work through their emotions. Morgan would get down on their level and speak to them and help them process what they felt. We appreciated her empathetic approach. We often had other parents indicate how lucky we were to have such an amazing person with our kids b/c they could see how much the kids truly loved her and how invested in them she was. Even now, years later, our girls ask to see Morgan and hang out with her. She’s a trusted adult in their life and that is purely due to the amazing relationship and trust she built with them. Morgan also took so much initiative with her role. She would often look up activities to do with the girls. She would create crafts with them or an obstacle course out of chalk, etc. The girls were always active and playing and not on screens when they were with Morgan. Additionally, we never had to worry about Morgan being on her phone or being distracted when she was working. She was always present and aware and ensuring our children were safe. Morgan also helped research and look up ideas and approaches for potty training since she was with us while our youngest was going through that phase. Our oldest was a breeze to potty train, but our youngest was a bit more of a challenge. Morgan stuck with it, gave us feedback, was patient with our child, and helped us find a way to get her potty trained! Morgan would be an asset to any family because she brings a drive to succeed but most importantly she brings compassion, love, and care to everything she does. I would emphatically recommend Morgan.
