Hi! I'm Morgan, a lead preschool teacher with Head Start, looking for a summer position starting at the end of May or early June through the end of July. I have over 20 years of experience working with children, hold a degree in Early Childhood Education, and current First Aid and CPR certifications. Working with young children is truly my passion. I love their energy, curiosity, and the joy they bring to each day. Currently, I teach preschool at Monterey Elementary in Colorado Springs and have been here for the past three years. Prior to COVID, my husband and I owned a Jiu Jitsu school with a thriving kids' program for ages 3 and up in New Mexico. Other experience includes: Head Start New Mexico public school PreK Licensed Child Care Facilities Babysitting/Nannying Kids' Spartan Race Volunteer Martial Arts Instructor I love hiking, biking, skiing, training Jiu Jitsu, and pretty much anything that gets me moving and outside. We hired Morgan after a friend recommended her as she was watching her two kids. She started with us when our daughter was 5 months old and has cared for her for the last 9 months. Morgan quickly won over our baby girl, and became her favorite person other than my husband and I. P. has severe food allergies and sensitivities to detergents/perfumes and Morgan was able to handle any situation and protect her from having reactions while in her care. She even changed her laundry detergent. Not only is she loving she is also punctual and extremely dependable. The last few months she has been watching P. and another little boy that's the same age (one years old) at our home and handles it like a breeze. She does games, art projects, outside time and lots of learning activities with them. We couldn't be more sad to have Morgan moving away and will miss her dearly. She has kept our home neat and clean and our baby safe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Happy to chat if you want to ask for our #.
