About Morgan

As a member of the Resource Team, I have had the opportunity to work with on the pediatric, adult, and geriatric units at Ronald Reagan Medical Center and one pediatric unit at Santa Monica Medical Center. In the units at a medical center, I work under the direct supervision of a nurse manager to assist my patients with personal hygiene, excretory needs, and transfer. Additionally, I take their vital signs every 4 hours to ensure that their blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, and oxygen level are within range and provide an update to my nurse. In the units at Santa Monica, I am a Constant Observation Aide, which is assigned to one patient the duration of my shift. Some of the reasons why I have to be with these patients at all times is if they are on eating disorder watch, sick with a virus or fungal infection, or display various acts of aggression to the nursing staff as well as medical professionals.
