About Morena Pilar

I love helping students feel more confident in what they're learning and helping them realize they're capable of more. I have two years of experience tutoring middle and high school students in English and Spanish, and I adapt my approach to each student's needs and learning style. I use visual aids, hands-on activities, and examples to make lessons easier to understand. If something feels confusing, I break it down into smaller steps and make sure the student understands before moving on. I also like connecting lessons to things they're interested in. I believe communication with students and parents is important to me, too. I am happy to tutor at home, online, or at a local library. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Seeing something finally "click" is one of favorite parts of tutoring.
