About Moolaweh

Hello! My name is Moolaweh , but feel free to call me Moolaw. I am a bilingual Karen/Knyaw graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in English at the University of Nebraska Omaha. I currently teach English Composition I and II, have worked as a Writing Center consultant, and conduct community-based research with UNMC's Department of Family Medicine. I earned dual bachelor's degrees in Molecular and Biomedical Biology and English (Creative Nonfiction), with minors in Chemistry and Medical Humanities. I have experience helping students with personal statements, English language acquisition, reading comprehension, and academic writing. As an instructor, I have developed curriculum that helps students write effectively across genres, including persuasive, argumentative, and personal writing. My goal is to collaborate with students to help build the skills and confidence needed to become stronger readers, writers, and critical thinkers with patience, kindness, and understanding.
