About Montserrat

We had the very good luck to have Montserrat (Montse) be our live-in au pair for 18 months and then returned again recently for an additional 6 months. She took care of our older daughter between ages 5-6 and then again at age 10 and our younger boy/girl twins between ages 3-4 and then again at age 8. She demonstrated incredible patience, love, and kindness when she took care of them and became an important part of their lives and our family. Montse is extremely reliable and flexible. She was always on time to start childcare and never missed a day for illness or personal issues. Sometimes we would ask to change her schedule last minute due to changes in our work schedule. She always worked to accommodate us to make sure the kids were taken care of. She is also a very good driver. She drove the kids to school and to the park as well as drove in her personal time, and she never had any tickets or accidents. Montse has a very joyful and playful manner, which our kids really loved. She enters every game with a great amount of enthusiasm which is infectious. The kids were never in a bad mood around her because she made them laugh and have fun. She was very self-sufficient when playing with the kids and came up with many games and art projects to work on. We never had to worry about the kids being bored. At one point Montse made a unicorn pinata for the kids out of old boxes and the art supplies we had lying around the house. It was impressive! Montse was devoted to our kids. She was very attentive to their needs and concerned about their well-being. I never had to worry when she took them to the park or the playground because I knew that she would be very focused on keeping them safe. She also showed them great affection. She had nicknames for them and gave them lots of hugs. They really came to see her as a big sister. I have only good things to say about Montse. You would be very lucky to have her care for your children!
