I have personal experience providing hands-on care for my grandmother, who had advanced dementia and was fully dependent. I assisted with all aspects of her daily routine, including feeding, administering medications, bathing, changing diapers, and helping her with mobility and hygiene needs. I also supported her emotional well-being by spending quality time with her, speaking gently, playing music she enjoyed, and making sure she got fresh air and sun when possible. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the patience, consistency, and attentiveness required in elderly care. I'm comfortable helping with dressing, toileting, meal preparation, and offering companionship to seniors who may feel isolated. While this wasn't a paid position, it shaped my ability to care for others with compassion and responsibility.
