About Monica

I love tutoring, always have. It's so important for kids to enjoy learning, growing and succeeding. Tutoring comes naturally to me, but over the years I have really honed in my teaching style and adapted to students' learning styles. It makes me so happy for my students to gain understanding of concepts. I teach primarily math courses and SAT/ACT prep (all sections) but one of my favorite students was 6yo and that was fun! He acted like a puppy in one of the sessions. In my spare time, I like to do photography, gym and play soccer! One thing you should know about me is I have seen a lot of success with the students I've worked with. I usually meet weekly with the older kids, but I've met daily if needed. I'm very passionate about learning and love to share that. Parents usually commend me for my patience, calmness and ability to explain. Top 3 skills are ability to give concise and direct explanations, accountability that the student will improve, and making learning fun!
