About Monica

Hello lovely families of NYC, my name is Nica! :) I am a professional Childcare Provider of 11 years and a newly certified Birthday Doula! I am native to Arizona, where I was raised helping in my mother's home daycare facility. I have been immersed in this work since I was a child myself and find a tremendous calling in the nurturing and developement of babies, children and youth alike. I have been doing childcare work in NYC since my move here in 2018. I take a Play Based approach in my work with children and deeply love incorporating art making, nature and the outdoors. I am well versed in all ages from infants to teens as well as families with multiple children. I take pride in having outstanding relationships with all my previous families. I am most notable for being extremely present and engaged. As well as flexible and reliable - because I understand every family has their unique needs! And I will do my absolute best to accommodate and support you!
