I'm a reliable, energetic, & highly-experienced babysitter looking to provide childcare for families in the NYC area. While studying Psychology & English at Kenyon College, I worked for Care. com in their "Backup Caregiver" program, where I received professional childcare training; I responded to same-day bookings for families in need of verified, short-notice support for both able & disabled children/infants. After moving to New York in fall 2021, I began nannying for local families, caring for kids (as young as 11 months, as old as 10) throughout all-day routines-including school pickup, play dates, homework help, dinner, bedtime, trips to parks/museums/libraries. Throughout my ~10 years of experience, I've grown confident adapting to the demands of diverse home environments & fostering trust/open communication with parents/guardians. As a writer & visual artist, I love to be creative (play music, paint, draw) & read books with kids-providing warm, encouraging energy along the way.

Molly and I attended the same college and had mutual friends, but only met post-grad when I sought an adept babysitter for close family friends who had just relocated to New York about a year ago. Nowadays, I am more frequently thanked for bringing Molly into people's lives than I am for any of my own life achievements! (I'm not bitter.) It is a joy to recommend Molly, a warm, bubbly individual with a rare mixture of intelligence, sense of humor and compassionate kindness beloved by all -- especially children. Be it walks in the park, music or reading, Molly will devise some unique combination of activities to spark creativity and joy in any child, regardless of temperament or age. I know because I've seen it!
