About Miya

I am A Prince George's County public school teacher. With my degree I am certified to work with and teach from birth to 3rd grade. I have my 90 hour certificate which certifies me to teach preschool ages. I've worked as a senior staff member, a lead preschool teacher, teacher's aide and Kindergarten teacher. I have experience working with children of all ages, with most of my experience being with 2-5 years old. With this background I have experience with promoting physical growth and reaching developmental milestones, promoting and developing healthy social-emotional skills, and promoting language and literacy development. I have also experience teaching math, science, writing, social studies, and language arts. I enjoy working with children! They are my passion, and I value healthy child development and growth. I love to do arts and crafts, music, taking trips and doing hands-on activities!
