I'd describe my personality as caring, ethical, and friendly. I enjoy caring for seniors because I used to be a certified occupational therapy assistant, and found it very rewarding. I met lots of wonderful people and helped rehab patients reach an optimal level of independence, often returning to their home environment. I'm looking for a job that offers the gratification I felt as a COTA. I hope to help seniors remain in the home as long as possible while providing the family with support as a reliable and trusting caregiver. I started caring for seniors when I graduated from college and obtained my license as a COTA/L in 1995. In my spare time, I like to do yoga, connect with nature, spend time with my adult daughters, reading, and watching documentaries. One thing you should know about me is I am very reliable! My skills include knowledge of ADLS, transfers, mobility devices, adaptive equip, home mod for safety/accessibility. CPR/AED/First-Aid certified..
