I am a retired professional with a bachelor's degree in psychology, a background as a U. S. Army nurse, and previous experience as a full-time nanny. In my 20s, I nannied for two professional families: the chief nurse executive of a major Seattle hospital and a United Airlines pilot trainer in Denver. I have excellent personal and professional references and understand the trust involved in placing a child in someone else's care. I am dependable, nurturing, patient, safety-conscious, and respectful of each family's routines and parenting choices. My psychology background has strengthened my appreciation for child development. I believe everyday moments are opportunities to build a child's confidence, curiosity, self-esteem, and understanding of the world. I enjoy reading, outdoor activities, creative play, and age-appropriate learning. I am seeking part-time daytime care for an infant or young child.
