About Misty

For the past 25 years, I've been dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential. As a BCBA, along with my experience in Special Education, I'm passionate about creating engaging and supportive learning environments where students thrive. I adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, actively listening and varying my approach with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I build confidence by celebrating small successes and breaking down complex problems. Communication is key, and I provide regular updates to students and parents to ensure we're all working together. I am familiar with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). I tutor Math, English, Test Preparation, Special Education, and Study Skills at all levels. Witnessing students achieve their "aha!" moments is incredibly rewarding, and I would love to help you or your student succeed.
