About Misty

Unlocking a student's unique potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With one year of experience supporting elementary learners in Math, English, Science, and study skills, I focus on building critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. I prioritize creating a patient, engaging environment where I adapt my methods--using visual aids, hands-on activities, or discussions--to match your child's individual learning style. By connecting complex concepts to real-world interests and celebrating small wins, I help students gain the confidence they need to succeed. I believe clear communication with families is essential to building a collaborative, trusting relationship. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks for a student. I am happy to travel to your home to provide this support, and I look forward to helping your child grow.
